Larry Anderson - Families and Individuals

Notes

Andrew (Andy) B. BURRIS

Information sent by Susan of the Burris line, by Genforum, Susan thinks that Absalom HIATT and Anna Reese may be the parents of Elizabeth HIATT as there were 2 others sisters that married the brothers.
I do not find an Elizabeth, that does not mean that there is no Susan, but that someone could be missing.  There also were many of the HIATT families in the same area and cousins, would also be as likely that she was a cousin instead of a sister. Would love to prove up on this as well.  Larry Anderson
Susan further notes:  I have a note that reads November 7,7, 1857, West Methodist (Pleasant Grove) founded by Andrew Burris.

Elizabeth HIATT

From Melissa,  LARAMEL@aol.com  Aug 15, 2000.
Found out some more information.  There is a Hiram HIATT born 183 in Hillside Cemetery in Elliott, IA.  There are also two more HIATTs buried in the Red Oak Cemetery in IA by the name of Bertham and John W. (No dates were noted).  John W. does have a GAR marker showing Company A, 4th Iowa Cav.  Do you have any further information on these people and how they would be related to Elizabeth?
Elizabeth HIATT BURRIS died in Grant Township from Measles complicated with pneumonia.  She is buried in the Hewitt Cemetery which is 2 miles south of Red Oak, Iowa.  Thanks for your help, Melissa
Bertham has to be the son of John Wesley HIATT, who is number 3566 in Volume I of HH book by William Perry Johnson.  There are several missing and incomplete lines from these familes so would be easy to compare and search for the links from John Wesley lines, see pg. 270 of HH book, Vol. I, #609.  Larry Anderson
