Brdjnntt [11:59 A.M.]: Good day to you, do you ever watch OPB channel on TV. I noticed a man on he committee which I think is a writer for them and his name is Carl Pope. So yesterday I spent time on here looking for Pope family. My grandmother Ada Bunce Hiatt, Bunce family was related to Charlotte Pope Bunce DOB 3/12/49; Bufort, Illinois. My Ada Grama was Bunce and her Mom's Dad was a Pope family member. I'm home with the cough, soar throat, I checked for strepp but that came back negative thank goodness.

It shakes me to think there are about 4 Hiatt books and the persons that retreived from Salt Lake are all deceased and now the kids have them (and I'm not one) and they don't care a darn about them, some of the books are in a barn from one living child. The beat goes on.

LarryAndy [12:43 P.M.]: Various times and ways The orginal and first Oregon Trail immigrants were part Hiatt, then my families went by the Oregon trail to Corvallis Ore and settled a place called Eddyville, after the grandparents names. There were others who went who represent a vast array of people, the inventor of plastics was a Hiatt from OR too, there was also my great aunt and uncle from two Hiatt branches Watson Smiley Hiatt and Alice Hiatt married, went by train in the later 1800's, settled in WA & developed apple orchards

Brdjnntt [1:32 P.M.]: My Mother Jeannette Charlotte Hiatt had two children she adopted out, Dianne Ruth born to mom adopted by one of Mom's sisters margaret Hiatt Stephens & henry; then Lawrence Pelletier adopted thru another sister of Mom's Freida Hiatt Davey married to Albert; his sister Clotylde Davey Morris & husband adopted my brother from my Mom and Roy S. Dickson (bush pilot) in 1940 at home of Clotylde in St. Helens where my Grandmother Ada Ruth Bunce Hiatt then lived. Too many kinks in families back then.
