In a lease of 1753 she is recorded as being Ann Ripper aged 38, sister of William Ripper aged 20 and daughter of Ann Ripper aged 64.
In the Sherborne Mercury 13 Jul 1767 there is an advertisement to let "Tregurtha" occupied by William Ripper, John James and Richard Ralph.

Lease Between Humphrey Markworth Praed of Trevethon in the County of Cornwall on the one part and William Ripper the Younger of the town of Marazion in the said County of the other part.
Witnesseth that Humphrey Markworth Praed in consideration of a surrender of a lease of the premises herein aftermentioned bearing date the 12th day of April in the seventh year of the reign of his late majesty King George the First [1721] made and granted by Bulkley Markworth of Betton in the county of Salop, Sir Humphrey Markworth of Heath {Neath?} in the county of Glamorgan knight and William Markworth Praed of Trevethon aforesaid all since deceased unto Pascoe Nicholls of Marazion aforesaid all since deceased whereon Ann the mother of the said William RIPPER and Ann his sister are the two lives now in being.
As also of the fine or
of four guineas of lawful money of Great Britain to him the said Humphrey Markworth Praed in hand paid by the said William Ripper before the sealing and delivery of these present. The receipt whereof the said Humphrey Markworth Praed doth hereby acknowledge of a half a guinea of gold to Dame Mary Delves a wife of the said Humphrey Markworth Praed paid by the said William RIPPER and of the said Humphrey Markworth Praed grant to lease of land and garden in Marazion for 99 years.

Esther Osborne suggests that 'praed' is a title rather than a name, endowing the user with the authority to deal in real estate on either his own behalf or as an agent for another ... from the word 'praedile' meaning pertaining to land.

Know all men by these presents that we George Ripper of the town of Marazion in the county of Cornwall yeoman, James Nicholl of the same <....> and James Tove of the borough of Lostwithiel in the same county mason are held and firmly bound unto the worshipful John Sleech clerk Master of Arts Archdeacon of the Archdeaconry of Cornwall lawfully constituted in the sum of two hundred pounds of good and lawful money of Great Britain, to be paid unto the said John Sleech or to his retained attorney his executors administrators or assignes to which payment well and truly to be made We oblige ourselves and each and every of us by himself for the whole one and each and every of our <---> executors and administrators firmly by these presents sealed with our seals dated the twenty fifth day of January in the eleventh year of the reign of our sovereign Lord George the Third by the grace of God of Great Britain, France and Ireland King defender of the ffaith and so forth. The condition of this obligation is such that if the above bounden George Ripper the brother and administrator of all and singular, the goods chattels and credits of William Ripper late of Marazion above said yeoman deceased do make or cause to be made a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the goods chattels and credits of the said deceased which have or shall come to the hands, possession or knowledge of him the said George Ripper or into the hands and possession of any person or persons for him and the same so made do exhibit or cause to be exhibited into the register of the Archdeaconry Court of Cornwall at or before the last day of April next ensuing and the same goods chattels and credits and all other goods chattels and credits of the said deceased at the time of his death which at any time after shall come to the hands or possession of the said George Ripper or into the hands or possession of any other person or persons for him do well and truly administer according to law and further do make or cause to be made a true and just amount of him said administration at or before the last day of March 1772 and all the rest and residue of the said goods chattels and credits which shall be found remaining upon the said administrators attempt the same being the first examined and allowed of by the judge or judges for the time being of the said court shall deliver and pay unto such person or persons respectively as the said judge or judges by his or their decree or sentence pursuant to the true intent and meaning of a late Act of Parliament made in the two and twentieth and three and twentieth years of the reign of our late sovereign Lord King Charles the Second, instituted an Act for the better settling of intestate estates shall limit and appoint; And if it shall hereafter appear that any last will and testament was made by the said deceased and the executor or executors therein named do exhibit the same into the said Court making request to have it allowed and approved accordingly if the said George Ripper above bounden being thereunto required do render and deliver the said letters of administration; Approbation of such testament being first had and made in the said court; then this obligation to be void or else to remain in full force and virtue.
