Raymond's biological parents were Harvey M. and Pearl Mumma. They were residents of Licking Creek Twp, Fulton County, PA. Pearl was deceased when the adoption papers were drawn up on July 28, 1928. On October 1, 1928 Harry and Maye Lamberson became his legal parents.Adoption papers recorded at the Fulton County, PA Court House. He was taken ill in February while vacationing in Clearwater, Fla., and had been hospitalized there before returning home.Mr. Lamberson was born Dec. 23, 1909 at Hustontown, PA, a son of Harry and Maye (Keebaugh) Lamberson, and was married to the former Raye Tipton of Berlin on March 10, 1934 at Slatington, PA.Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Beverly Jervis of Devon, PA; a son, Sterling E. of Canan Station; three granddaughters and a brother, Marvin of Belmont, California.Mr. Lamberson retired in June 1972 from the Hollidaysburg Area School District, where for 29 years he had taught physical education and science in the Junior and Senior High Schools. He initiated the wrestling program at Hollidaysburg High School and served as the school's first wrestling coach. He served as basketball coach for a number of years in both the Junior and Senior High Schools.Before coming to Hollidaysburg, Mr. Lamberson had taught for one year at Taylor Twp.; five years at Bethal Twp., where he also served as principal; and one year at Windber.Mr. Lamberson was graduated from Taylor Twp. High School in 1929 and received his B.S. degree in education from East Stroudsburg State Teachers College in 1933. He also attended Penn State University in 1936 and 1937.Mr. Lamberson was a member of Juniata Lodge, F&AM, Hollidaysburg; Valley of Altoona Scottish Rite bodies, Jaffa Shrine Temple and the Altoona Shrine Club. Obituary RAYE T. LAMBERSON70, of Brush Run Apartments, Hollidaysburg, died at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, 1980, in Altoona Hospital, after an extended illness. Mrs. Lamberson retired in 1960 as a Latin teacher from Bedford High School where she had taught 13 years. She had previously taught at Hustontown and Shade Township high schools and did substitute teaching at the Hollidaysburg Area High School. She was born Oct. 19 1909, in Berlin, the daughter of Clarence and Gertrude (Landid) Tipton, and March 1934, married Raymond E. Lamberson, who died March 27, 1973. Surviving are two children, Mrs Beverly L. Jervis of Devon and Sterling E. of RD 2; five grandchildren, and a brother, Leland E. of Berlin. Mrs Lamberson was a member of the First Unitied Methodist Church, Hollidaysburg; Faithful Workers Sunday School class, WSCS and Welcome Circle of the church. She was also a member of the Hollidaysburg Chapter, Order of Eastern Star; Jobel Court, Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America, White Shrine, Auxiliary of Hollidaysburg YMCA and the Women's Wednesday afternoon bowling league.
