At one time George was a sergrent in the Lincolnshire Constabulary.In May of 1871 George and Dianh, with their three children sailed from Liverpool on the Cunard Line" Calabria" They landed at Castle Gardens later called the Battery in Manhatten Island. They went from there to Delaware, Ohio where George was a Blacksmith. From here they went to Denver and to Watrous, New Mexico, for a few years and then to Chadbourn, North Carolina in the 1890's.
