Mrs. Willis was one of the first  active Red Cross Volunteers here and has served continuously. She is an active member of the Board of Directors, fund Chairman  in Cottonton  and serves as social welfare  aide in that section.
In his remarkes Ferrell noted that Mrs. Willis became a charter member of the chapter here  not long after the Red Cross  was charter by Congress in January 1918 and told  of her service during  World War I, when   she helped establish an efficient program, made ditty bags and handages,  help socials to raise  funds, and obtained gifts for  servicemen overseas today, Ferrell said.
