He enlisted in Rushville, Illinois, on 2 Aug 1862, was mustered in at Quincy, Illinois on 7 Oct 1962, and was mustered out 26 Aug 1865 in Mobile, Alabama. The Muster Roll for Company B, describes George as 22 years old, single, 5 ft. 11 in., light hair, grey eyes, light complextion, occupation of cooper, and birthplace as Washington County, Indiana. Another source reports that he died at Yellow Bayou?.
Died in the Civil War.
