Information was gleaned from the 1850-52 cencus of Kent, Ontario, Canada, Dover East & West, (by Donna L. Hiatt). It lists Luc Emory, 1 log house of 1 story, 1 family residence. His age was 45 and his wife's was 44.

Luc lived to the age of 79 in 1885, at Big Pointe, Kent Co., Ontario, Canada.

Information was gleaned through the Commemorative Biography of Kent County, Ontario, Canada, by J.H. Beers      Page 146, where I copied all of the Lucier's and Emery's in this book.

    I sent copies to Christy in Feb, 1997, with letter, pictures and church records of Tom and
    his siblings.
    She sent me a letter and map of lower Ontario, Canada on Jan.30, 1997.

               The Emery's came to Toronto in 1812. Then, to Windsor and finally settling in Big Point, Dover Twp, Kent, Ontario, Canad in 1815.

                Luc Emery served in the town councel for 24 years.

    The church records were searched from the St. Joseph's Catholic Church, at Chatham, Ontario. Nothing found.
    The Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Paincourt, Kent, Ontario, Canada. A lot was found.
