Francois Brunet, Sr., dit Bourbonnais. Sometimes called Brunet or Burnette.
He came originally from Barleau, a village in Vailly-sur-Sauldre, in the ancient province of Bourbonnais, from which he got his "dit" name.Bourbonnais was a Franch Province carved out about the same time as Bourgogne, L'Auvergne, LeBerry and LeNivernois. At the time of the French Revolution, the departments of L'Allier and Cher were also part of the territory.
12 children were born of this union, 4 girls which carry the line of descendance up to us. The history says that the first child was Barbe. Someone has Jean Brunet listed as 1st.
Francois died at his home in LaChaine after a bout with pleurisy, on Friday, 23 Jun 1702, at the age of 57 years.

Ed was cremated and put in a bronze urne, that depicted a guitar, along with his birth & death dates. They held a Celebration of Life for him.
