They were residing at Crooked Run, VA, when he was reported to HOpewell MM, VA, 9 mo 1, 1777, for giving away to passion so far as to strike a man several times. he and his family were received by Lost Creek MM, TN., 7 mo 21, 1798, from Crooked Run MM, VA, on certificate dtd 4 mo 1, 1797, and edorsed by new HOpe MM, TN, 3 mo 31, 1798.
He was probably the Benjamn Moore who was disowned by Crooked Run MM< VA., 8 mo 31, 1782, for misconduct. [Ref: Hinshaw, American Quaker Genealogy, Vol VI, pg 601.]
