Will James GUTHRIE

Obituary

Will J. Guthrie a retired printer and lifelong Wabash resident, Will J. Guthrie, 94, Wabash Heathcare Center, died at 6 P.M. Monday in the Wabash County Hospital following a brief illness. He was a World War I Army veteran and a member of Thomas Stineman Post, American Legion; and the Veterans of Foreign wars. He was a member and elder emeritus of the Wabash Christian Church. He was also a member of Hanna Masonic Lodge and the Wabash Lions Club. Mr. Guthrie was born September 21,1888, in Miami County. His parents are Hiram and Hanna Kaicy Guthrie, both deceased. He was married June 19, 1919 in Wabash County to Floy L. Morrow who died April 30, 1979. Surviving are one son, John H. Guthrie, R.R. 4 Wabash; one daughter, Mrs. Virginia L. Goff, 1170 Meadowview Drive; nine grand children and 12 greatgrand children. One son, one brother, two sister preceded him in death. Services will be Thursday 2 P. M. in the Gareett and Sloan Colonia Mortuary. Dr. David Cartwrigh and the Rev. Ed Edwin Shriver will officiate. burial will be in the Friends cemetery. Friends may call at the Mortuary After 2 P.M. Wendnesday. Masonic seriveces will be held at the mortuary at 7:30 P.M. Wednesday. Mimorial contributions may be made to the Wabash Christain Church. Date of death 10-18-1982. Publicatin Wabash Plain Dealer 10-19-1982.
