He married Joyce on Nov. 11, 1950, in Beloit. Yoadie was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. He was employed at Fairbanks Morse and Company for 37 years. Yoadie was known and loved for playing Santa Claus for many years throughout the Stateline area. He was a member of Morning Star Lodge #10 F. & A.M., Beloit Chapter #9, Royal Arch Masons, Beloit Council #1 Royal & Select Masters, Beloit Commandery #6 Knights Templar, Wisconsin Priory #16 Knights of York Cross of Honor. He was also a member of Scottish Rite, Madison Lodge of Perfection, Madison Council of Deliberation, Madison Chapter of Rose Croix, Madison Consistory, and Zor Shrine A.A.ON.M.S. and the Beloit Shrine Club. He was active in the motorcycle patrol. Yoadie was also a member of the Isaak Walton League and was active in the Hunter Safety Program. He was a life member of National Rifle Association and was a member of Janesville Wisconsin Moose Club. He had been active in Stateline Ducks Unlimited and Fairbanks Machinist Union. He was also treasurer of the Newark Gun Club and the Beloit Labor Council. He is survived by his wife, Joyce and three children. She was born on August 6, 1929 in Beloit, WI, the daughter of Dean R. and Vivian Baggs Babb. She was a 1947 graduate of Beloit High School and a 1950 graduate of Ravenswood Hospital School of Nursing in Chicago, IL. She was employed by Beloit Memorial Hospital as a Registered Nurse retiring in 1992. Joyce married Yoatis T. Hamil on November 11, 1950 in Beloit. He predeceased her on October 15, 2003. She enjoyed camping, fishing, bowling, knitting and feeding the birds. Joyce is survived by her twin sons, Dennis (Leslie) Hamil of South Beloit, IL, David Hamil of Shirland, IL; a daughter, Denise (Brian) Weeden of Janesville, WI; four grandchildren, Kevin (Kitty) Weeden of Minneapolis, MN, Amy (Frank) Millard of Janesville, WI, Dean and Dylan Hamil both of Shirland, IL; two great-granddaughters, Ella and Grace Millard; two brothers-in-law, Donald Hamil and Orlin McLain both of Beloit, WI; and a special neighbor, Jane Bentz. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, and her sister, Donna F. McLain.
