The dates cannot fit, has to be some mis readings, recording of dates, birth marriage, something is awful wrong. How can Joseph be born 1821 before married in 1836 and father born in 1821, only 10 years old. Wrong! And wife, Matilda Myers, bon 1829 and married at 7 years old, no way! Possibly mis read to be no later then 1821 or 1819.

Deceased was aged 83 years, 5 months and 5 days and was born in Indiana, in which state he resided until last fall, when he came to Oregon to visit his daughter, Mrs. Blanchard. He leaves four sons to mourn his loss.
