Nathan Adams, born ca1822/23 in Ohio, son of George and Margaret_________?Adams. Nathan married Jane_______, born:  ca1828/29 in Ohio. Her father and mother were born in Virginia, according to U.S. Census' records. George Adams was born in  New York and his wife Margaret was born in New York also. Children of Jane and Nathan Adams, all born in Ohio, were:

    1) Nancy born: ca1849
    2) Margaret born: 14 Sep 1850
died: 45 Jul 1891
married: John M. Alexander
    3) Abigail born: 1855
    4) Emily born: 1852
    5) John L. born: 1858
    6) Diannah born: Dec 1859
    7) Clara born: 1862
    8) Ruben B. born: 1864

One of the above daughters may have married a Westfall, having a daughter named Nancy born Feb 1880, who was living with  John and Margaret Alexander on 8 June 1880, according to the U.S. Census.

34) George and Margaret Adams lived on a farm in Madison Township, Scioto County,Ohio, just next to the farm of Nathan and  Jane during 1850 and 1860. The 1870 U.S. Census dated 22 June lists John Alexander, born in Pennsylvania, age 21, working as  a carpenter in the household of Elizabeth Dodds and children Robert, 19 and Adell, 13. The Dodds house was located in Madison  Township, Scioto Couty, just two houses away from the farm of Nathan Adams. It is possible that this closeness of John  Alexander to the farm where Margaret Adams lived resulted in their becoming acquainted, and later married. In the 1880  Census, the John Alexanders were living just next to Jane Adams, widow, and her children, all in Madison Township.

It is likely that John and Margaret Alexander are both buried on an Adams Family cemetery which is located on a 1/2 acre  tract of William Adams farm in the Northwest corner of Madison Township in Scioto County, Ohio. The death certificate of  Margaret Alexander states burial in Madison township, while that of John Alexander states "Adams cemetery", altho the  obituary lists burial at Stockdale.
