On August 9, 1924 Earth became a better place when God brought Elsie Butterfield Cornelison into this world. Heaven became a better place on August 31, 2012 when at the age of 88, she left earth surrounded by her loving family.
Elsie was born at Grace, Idaho, the fourth of eleven children to Ferrebee (Doc) Butterfield and Ivy May Lancaster Butterfield.

He was born January 19, 1922 at Chesterfield, Idaho to Forest Lee and Etta Eldora VunCannon Cornelison. Buford's family spent their winters in Chesterfield and summers in Rocky Canyon where his parents homesteaded a valley north of Chesterfield and east of Mt. Putnam. In the fall of 1944 when he was 22 years old, Buford was called to serve his country. He was enlisted in the Army and sent to the Philippines. Later, he was transferred to Japan and discharged from the Air Force.
