John Wesley PARKS

He had fiery-red hair and beard.  The younger children were so afraid of his red hair and beard that they would not go around him.  He loved to tease the children and watch them run away.
Death cert. says he was born 1 Oct 1849


Lewis Brady PARKS

In 1913 when the town of Seagrove was chartered, L B was one of the organizers.  The town of Seagrove was named for the man who brought the RR through this southern end of Randolph co.
 He died in 1927, with epithelial cancer of the face and chest and was buried alongside his wife in the Pisgah Ch cemetery.  Only two daughters, Clara Alice Parks Moore and Cora Parks Owens, lived in Seagrove until their deaths.


Nancy Jane (Wincy) "Lucy" VUNCANNON

There is a Nancy J buried in the Union Grove Bapt. Ch. Cem. with birth date 15 Feb. 1860 and died 27 Aug. 1929 wife of A B Parks.
