Conscripted 15 Jan 1864 CSA and entered service at Surry,.  He died six months later of dysentery while a POW at Point Lookout, MD having been taken prisoner 12 May 1864 at the Battle of Spotsylvania Court House, VA.  Pvt Co a 28 Reg NC
