Jacob H. SEMONES

S/o Benjamin and Magadlena Semones.  Probably died in the Civil War, was a confederate soldier.

Arabella HIATT

Also spelled Arebelier, Arabella, etc., HIATT.  She was born around 1818 in Franklin Co., VA and married Jacob H. Semones (many spellings for SEMONES).  They named one of their sons Moses Hogue Semones.  I believe Arbelia's parents were Thomas and Nancy HIATT (HITE, HYATT, HIETT, etc.)  I woiuld love to know what info you might have on the Thomas and Nancy you listed in your query.  Will gladly exchange any info.  I have been looking for years with no luck, and just last PM found an Arabela HIATT, dau of Thomas and Nancy of Franklin Co., born 1818.  This info was found on the LDS Web site (www.familysearch.com)  According to Family Bible records and census records my Arbelia was born in 1818.  Looking to hear from you.  Blessings, Lydia Gibbs Wallace

I have my grandfather, Roy M. Hillman's Bible that lists Arabella (he spells it Arbelia) and her children and their birthdates.  Will send them to you if youo would like to have them.  Jacob and Arbella's grand daughter Sarah Arbelia, my maternal grandmother, was the wife of Roy Hillman.  I also have a picture of Arbelia as an elderly lady holding a very large Bible on her lap.  I would love to know if it still exists and what secrets it might reveal.  I also have a picture of Arbelia and all her children.  If you would like copies let me know your address and I will send them to you.  I do not have a scanner so I would have to send it snail mail.  Does your abbreviation Imm. in your reply stand for Immigrant/  I would love to have any info you have on Arbelia's ancestors.  I would be most willing to pay for copies and psotage if you would wantto send it snail mail.  I can't htank you enough fr your reply and apologize for sending such a long answer but I was so overcome with joy that I can get over one of the brick walls that has stopped me for so many years.  I look forward to hearing from you and hope that the info I provided will be useful to you.  Can you tell me how you are related to the HIATT family?
