Mr. Hiett has been deputy sheriff a term or two and is well and favorably
known over the county. He has also been engaged in the profession of teaching for many years. They own a farm on Cold Stream near the Bridge where they reside. Several of their children are teachers and one had theatrical ability.The whole family are more or less gifted in the line of vocal music. One daughter has been honored as a princess at the annual Winchester Apple Blossom Festival. The family are Democrats and members of the Christian Church.
