Alice ADAMS

Alice E. Spitzer

BELLEFONTAINE - Alice E. Spitzer, age 75, of Belle-fontaine, where she was living with her daughter, Shirley Ann Wantuck, died Sunday, April 7, 2002, at 7 p.m. at Mary Rutan Hospital.
She was born Dec. 11,1926, in LaRue, to the late Jeremiah and Eva (Dutton) Adams.
In 1944, she married Ernest J. Spitzer and he died in 1998.
Surviving is one son, Michael W. (Debbie) Spitzer of Clear-mont, Fla.; three daughters, Shirley Ann Wantuck of Belle-fontaine, Patricia Lynne Spitzer of Austin, Texas, and Cathy Jean (Michael) Litty of Elkhart, Ind.; six grandchildren, Michele Lea Youngblood, Jason Alan Wantuck, Nicole Marie and Regina Rae Litty, Daniel LeRoy and Shannon Elizabeth Spitzer; one great-grandson, Jack Alexander Youngblood; one brother, Jerry W. (Barb) Adams of LaRue and one sister, Joan (Dan) Miller of LaRue. She was preceded in death by one son, Steven Andrew Spitzer, one grandson, Brad Everett Wantuck, two brothers, Charles J. Adams and Alfred E. Adams and one sister, Norma J. Adams.
Mrs. Spitzer was a homemaker, graduated from LaRue High School in 1944 and was a former member of the Pythian Sisters of South Bend, Ind.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 12, 2002, at 2 p.m. at the Stofcheck Funeral Home, LaRue. Minister will be the Rev. Deb Berry. Burial in the LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home in LaRue from noon until service time on Friday.
Those who wish may make contributions to either the American Heart Association or the Central Ohio Kidney Foundation.


Charles J ADAMS

Charles J. Adams

Charles J. Adams, 59, 16413 Township Road 255, LaRue, died Friday evening Feb 1o, 1989 at Hardin Memorial Hospital, Kenton.
He was born in LaRue Feb. 21, 1929, a son of the late Jeremiah Adams, and Eva L. Dutton Adams, who survives in LaRue.
He was employed for 43 years as maintenance store clerk with Quaker Oats Co., and was a veteran of the Korean conflict. He was a member of the Old Timers Quaker Club.
Mr. Adams married the former Vivian D. Mulligan Oct. 26,1954, and she also survives.
Other survivors are four sons, Robert E. Adams, Plain City, and Marvin A., John L. and Richard A. Adams, at home; two brothers, Alfred E. Adams and Jerry W. Adams, LaRue; two sisters,_Mrs.
Alice Spitzer, Kenton, and Mrs. Dan (Joan) Miller, LaRue; a granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews. A sister is deceased.
The service will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Stofcheck Funeral Home, LaRue, with Dr. J. Brien McGarvey officiating. Burial will follow in LaRue Cemetery.
Frierids may call, at the funeral  home after p.m.'pd in the evening  Monday. Memorial contributions  may be made to a charity of the  donor's choice.


Richard A. ADAMS

Richard Allen Adams, age 44, formerly of LaRue, died Sunday August 22. 2010 at 7:40 AM at St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville.  He was born September 4, 1965 in Kenton, Ohio to Charles J. and Vivian D. (Mulligan) Adams. His father is deceased and his mother survives  living in Marion.

Also surviving are brothers; Robert E. (Janet) Adams of Columbus, Marvin A. (Barbara) Adams and John L. (Christa) Adams both of LaRue. Nieces; Tasha (Aaron) White of Marion and Audra and Amanda Adams both of LaRue.Great Niece and Nephew, three step nieces and three step nephews, and special friend Tara Castle of Columbus.

Richard loved Elgin and Ohio State Sports. He volunteered for anything to do with Elgin Schools.  He now lived at Villa Angela Care Center in Columbus and was presently the President of the Residence Association.

Funeral Services will be held Friday August 27, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in LaRue.  Minister will be the Rev. Edward W. Fugate.  Burial in the LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home in LaRue from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday.

Roger Allen WRIGHT

Roger Allen Wright, age 56, of New Bloomington, died Thursday May 6, 2010 at 5:30 AM at Triumph Hospital of Lima. He was born May 26, 1953 in Kenton, Ohio to Paul E. and Jean (Reiter) Wright. His father is deceased and his mom survives living in LaRue.  On May 26, 1997 he married Jane Pelfrey, she survives living in New Bloomington. He called her his Cup Cake.
Also surviving are son; Ruben (Donna) Castillo II of Marion, daughters; Angel (Ron) Stier of LaRue and Yolanda Castillo of Marion. Grandchildren; Destiny and Desiree Friend, Danielle Stier, Hailey Castillo, Katie and Kendrah. Sisters; Paula J. Everett (Ron McBeth) of Marion, Carolyn Sue Niesman of Dallas TX, Charlotte A. (Dan) Busch of Waldo,  Brothers; Larry Joe (Marilyn) Wright of New Bloomington, David L. (Vicky) Wright of LaRue and Philip N. (Paula) Wright of Marion. Many Nieces and Nephews and Great Nieces and Nephews. Also many many friends. He was preceded in death by Brother-in-law John Everett and Sister-in-law Pam Wright.
Roger was a Viet Nam veteran serving in the U S Navy aboard the USS Saratoga.  He had a special interest in guns. He operated a gun shop in New Bloomington and was a member of the NRA. Member of DAV in Kenton, VFW of Kenton also the Moose Lodge in Marion.  He was affectionately known as the Wheelchair Man. Enjoyed motorcycles, Country Western music and  western movies and traveling. But most important was his family.  Loved having his grandkids around, really enjoyed Christmas.  Most of all, however, he dearly loved his daily calls to visit with his Mom in LaRue.
Services will be held Tuesday May 11, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in LaRue.  Minister will be the Rev. Edward W. Fugate.  Burial in the LaRue Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home in LaRue from 1 to 3 and 5 to 8 PM on Monday. Graveside Military Rites will be conducted by the Marion County United Veterans Council.
