Nathaniel is the first Catlin of his line (the third such) in these records. He shares this distinction with his brother Jonathan.
He and Jonathan might also have had a sister named Anna and another named Susannah Elizabeth. Anna was born in 1765, died in 1863, and was buried in Maryland. Susannah married a John Martin near Wantage, NY in 1759. This information about the sisters seems to be speculative or tentative, so I am not putting entries for them in this file.
Nathaniel fought in the Revolutionary War. In about 1803, he moved to Owega, NY.
