A funeral service for Evelyn L. "Wook" Watson, 67, of Newark, will be held
at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 11, 2004, at the Newark Chapel of Henderson, Van
Atta & Johnston Funeral Service with Rev. Jerry Ball officiating. Burial
will follow in Brushy Fork Cemetery.
Mrs. Watson died Oct. 7, 2004, at the Heath Nursing Care Center. She was
born March 7, 1937, in Newark to the late Robert Clyde and Veda (Chism)
Flowers.
Mrs. Watson worked as a home health aid for Licking Memorial Hospital, as a
former bank teller, and in data entry for David Wills. She also did
volunteer work at the 1810 House and was a member of the Brushy Fork United
Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Elton Gene Watson, of the home; son, Vonn
Watson, of Newark; daughter, Vonda (Charles) Braunbeck, of Newark; brother,
Robert (Bonita) Flowers, of Newark; sisters, Linda (Max) Maldonado, of
Clarksville, Tenn.; and Hazel Floom, of Canton; two grandchildren, Chelsea
and Charles Braunbeck Jr.; many nieces and nephews and good friends.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 10, 2004
at the funeral home, 59 N. Fifth St., Newark
