Tristram COFFIN Sr.

The information on these descendants are from "The Coffin Family", by Louis Coffin, available from the Nantucket Historical Society 5 Washington St. PO Box 1016 Nantucket, Ma  02554 ,1-508-228-1894. Also from a book called "The History of Nantucket" by Starbuck 1924 , available from Mitchell's Book Store in Nantucket. Other books of interest will be a book on the Swain descendants, by Robert Swain of 6510 Paleface Pl. Charlotte, NC, 28214-1536 1-704-394-8590, and a book on the Starbucks. Hinchmans book "Early Settlers of Nantucket is also invaluable for data on these lines. I have tried to include all data from all sources.  I have, Quaker records for NC and Indiana, and other lines. Included in this line is an imported file on the Paddock family. I tried to add just those descendants inter-related to the descendants of Valentine Huddleston, but discovered it added about 8000 names to the file, I contemplated deleting all of this and then comparing the inter-marriages with all of the Nantucket line, decided to leave it intact.  However the majority of the Paddock lines are not my research, unless they are descendants of female Paddocks in to other Nantucket or Quaker information lines.
