Charles Nathan COFFIN

OBITUARY

MOORELAND - Former Mooreland resident Charles N. Coffin, 86, died Saturday
evening in his New Castle Health Care residence following an extended illness.
   He retired from farming in 1975.  A 1925 graduate of Mooreland High School,
he was a member of First Christian Church in Mooreland; Mooreland Masonic Lodge
331 F & AM; York Rite; Commandery.  Born Nov. 11, 1906 in Spiceland, he was a
son of Morris Allen Coffin and Cora Pearl Hawkins Coffin.
   The survivors include two sons, Kermit of Elwood, IN and Merrill of
Mooreland (IN); five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a sister Mary
Hollensbe of Elwood (IN); and several nieces and nephews.
   He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Bird Coffin, in 1973; by two
brothers, Otis and William.  Services are 10 AM Wed. at the First Christian
Church in Mooreland with the Rev. David Dudenhofer officiating.  Burial will be
in Mooreland Cem.  Friends may call 3 to 5 PM and 7 to 9 PM in Main Frame and
Hostetler Blue River Chapel.            Dtd 12 June 1993
