Charles, (Chuck), was the son of Charles Kocourek and Bessy Nemec. His parents owned a bakery in Omaha, div. and mother married Dave. Chuck was on the Omaha Police department, retired in 1985. He was a veteran highly decorated during the Korean War, Marine, he would never talk about his service but hinted several times to me but I never took the time to get him talking of his experiences, so sad. He sure loved to argue and give me a hard time but he was a sensitive person with a high sense of honor. I really loved and respected him, wish I could get more stories about him. He was close to Grandpa Hiatt as well as Fritz, would fish and hunt with Grandpa, spent time in Minnisota, etc. he could have told so many stories sure wish we had those written down.
