John and Charity moved to Vermillion Grove, IL in 1822. See pg. 30 of MILLS FAMILY HISTORY by Paul Mills.
Hannah Mills, b. 1801, was the first person to be buried at the Vermillion Grove Cem. Planks for her coffin were brought from Terre Haute, Indiana on horseback. John and Charity Mills, together with Henry and Matilda Canaday, and John and Cicily Haworth were probably the first to move to Vermillion, IL. No sooner had they setteld in their rude homes when they appointed a time and place where they could meet for Divine Worship. With no preaching, no music, often with no spoken word, they devotedly met, in summer's heat, in winters cold, to spend an hour, perhaps tow or three, in meditation and worship. The first meeting was probably in 1820/22.
