Marriage information sent by Marjorie Smith, found in North Carolina Archives. We have not had much success in receiving information from these lines and many of them are not very complete. This should be an easy one to follow since so many would have family stories of their grandfather, uncle or cousins connected to the delicious apple.
In 1966, in response to an article written by Cappers Weekly concerning the delicious apple and Jesse Hiatt, Golda Hiatt, widow of Arthur Hiatt of Amelia, Neb. wrote a response to Mrs. David Hiatt of Pierre, S.D.Dear Mrs. Hiatt Amelia, Neb.
