   William Condra married in 1851 to Catherine Steen at Centerville, Jackson Co., TN
   William Condra made application for bounty land 25 Nov 1850 for service in War of 1812. Served as a private in Capt. Thomas Stirret's Coof 14th Regt. KY Militia.  Entered service 20 Nov 1814 and served until 30 Dec 1814.  Claim was suspended and he applied again 16 April 1855.

   On 9 April 1878 Catherine Condra applied for a widows pension (The above in same file, National Archives).

Mary "Molly" GASS

    A note from geneolgy online said that she was not married to the father of Jesse, named a Mr. Johnson? Will hope to find more info, does that mean she was a GASS?  LA

   From a Gass family genealogy compiled by Anita Sharratt of Mt. Vernon, WA dated 16 Jun 1993: "Recent information indicates that Jesse Newton Gass, Sr. was the illegitimate son of Mary "Mollie" Gass and a man named Johnson. Mollie later married William F. Condra and has three children by him and then is divorced. This information from Steve Felix of Rancho Palo Verdes, CA."

  Monroe Co., KY
  Mary Condra, the separated wife of William Condra and daughter of Samuel and Nancy Gass.  She died 14th day of May 1861, age supposed to be 81 years and a member of the Christian Church.  (Compton Cemetery)

   Mary Condra was living with her son, Jesse Gass and his family in the 1850 Census of Jackson Co., TN  821-434, 1850
