. Orrin G. Davis (1869 - 1957 88 years) married Maggie Tissus. They bought the farm from his uncle Bill Davis where Orrin's youngest son, Ralph, now resides. The houses since been remodeled several times; however, the North West bedroom is part of the original house. It is in this same house that Orrin passed away in 1957 and it is interesting to note that Ralph still sleeps in the bedroom which he was born. The original farm consists of 182 acres. The Orrin Davis family consisted of six sons, and two daughters. A son Leland Claire lived only a few hours after birth. The children are Carl Davis married Isol Hiatt (two children - Billy and Charlene (deceased) , Hazel who married Clyde Smith (deceased), Hazel who married Clyde Smith (deceased) and reared eight children, Harold Davis (deceased) who married Wilma Jones and this union were born seven children, Clell Davis who married Veta Hiatt and have four children, Russell (Pat) Davis (deceased) who married Madge Cloyed and reared three children, Arthur who married Emma Rob (deceased) and later married Madge Evans. Arthur has one daughter Lela. Laverne Davis who married Mae McDanel and had one son, Larry. Dorothy who married Elmer Vance and has one son David, and Ralph who married Earlene Spencer and has two daughters Linda and Dixie. Russell passed away in 1953 and is buried at Hartford, Iowa. Harold has passed away and is buried at Blakesburg Iowa.
Orrin and Maggie are buried, along with the infant son, and the old Moravia Cemetery.
Leland only lived a few hours after birth.
