Krall who was drowned or murdered in Malta, Montana. The cirumstances were very suspicious and was never followed through. Versa Morris Webster and Leonard Wesley. Bain was my grandpa, his wifes name was Mary Bobert from somewhere in Germany. She came to this country when she was 11. Their kids names were Clifton Gordon HIATT who was my dad. Morris and Leonard. I have their birth and deaths and will look them up for you. Clifton was my dad and hsi wifes name was Mary Catherine Robinson. Her motehr and dad owned the hospital in Winterset, Iowa. They had three kids, Virgina Mae HIATT born March 5, 1929. Gene C. HIATT born May 10, 1930, Merle Alden HIATT born July 15, 1931. All us kids were born in Winterset, IA. Sear Larry, thank you for your quick reply. I used to do a lot of fishing at Moses Lake area, 50 some years ago. That was when just about all that lived there was rattlesnakes, but the fishing was very good at banks Lake and Jamison Lake. Anyway, if you ran into an old lady in Winterset, IA it was probably my aunt Marcella. I never cared for her so never kept in touch iwth her after uncle Morris died. He was a great guy as was his brother, Leonard, who passed on also. They were my dads brothers. Their dad's name was Bain and their mothers name was Mary. My grand parents. Grandma came from Germany when she was 11 years old. Her maiden name was Bobbit. They settled in N.Dakota and Canada. My grandpa and grandma both homesteaded in Firstview, Co, is how they met and got married. I have a picture of the sod hut they built to live in. UNBELIEVEABLE. I dont' think we could live that way. They had 3 boys. CLIFTON (my dad), Morris, and Leanard. They have all passed on I'm sorry to say. Leonards wife gone too. Good ridance! LIke I said, Morris's wife still lives in Winterset, along with a few of her kids. They had 6 kids. Leonard had 2 step daughters from 2nd marriage. Her name was Ruby. My dad and mom had 3 kids. My sister Virginia, Gene, that's me, Merle who I think you met in Salt Lake a number of years ago. My Sis is 75, Im 74 and Merle is 73, so we are about middle age you might say, ha ha. Anyway, Larry, I don't know how much you have on my family and ancestors but will keep sending you little bits when I get a few moments. Dear Larry: Just a few notes tonight as I'm running out of steam. My dad's name was Clifton Gordon HIATT. He was born April 15th 1911 in Peru, IA. He died Nov. 6th in Canon City, Colorado. His brother, Morris, was born in Peru also, April 12th, 1914. He died May 10th 1999. He died May 11th 1987. He was also born in Peru, IA and died in Denver, Colorado. Their dad's name was Bain HIATT. He was born Jan 6th, 1886 in Peru, IA. He died in Canon City Colorado April 1984. His wife's name was Mary Bobert Hiatt, she was born in Jamburg, Germany, March 25, 1886. I have to look up the date of her death but it was in Salem, Oregon, while her and Grandpa (Bain) was visiting us on Christmas from Colorado. My dad and mom, (Mary Catherine Robertson) Hiatt had 3 kids, my sister Virginia May Hiatt Papenburg, born March 5th 1929 in Winterset, IA. Myself, Gene Charles Hiatt born May 10th 1930. My brother Mearle Alden Hiatt, born July 15th 1931 in Winterset, IA. I was also born in Winterset, Iowa. Naturally, Larry, we are all still kicking, ha ha. I will tell you more later, as I get the time. You mentioned one thing in your letter to me that I might mention. Our ancestors left Pennsylvania to Guilford, NC, to Indiana, to Iowa. Gene sent me an emial, 21 Aug 2004 and states that Leonard died the 11th of May 1987 in Denver, CO.
