The family farm home was in Section 15.
Information from various sources: Lucy Alameda Bradfield, wife of William R Bradfield of Spring Creek Twp, was called by death Tuesday morning,
April 8, 1902, after an illness of only one week, age 30 years, 8 months
and 8 days. Cause of death was pneumonia. Lucy A Teeter was born in
Spring Creek twp, Black Hawk Co, IA July 31, 1871. She was the daughter
of Daniel B and Emeline (Clark) Teeter. She was united in marriage with
William R Bradffield on March 24, 1892. To this union was born three
childlren: Floy, age 9, Ruby, age 6, and Raymond, age 1 & 1/2 and together
with the bereaved husband are left to mourn her death. Mrs Bradfield was
a lady of many fine qualities and gentle ways which had won for her many
friends who were greatly shocked at her sudden passing, many not knowing
she had been ill. Services were held from the Spring Creek Methodist
Church with the Rev D S Staebler of the Methodist Church in La Porte City
officiating. The service was attended by a large number of friends,
neighbors and relatives which testify to the high esteem in which she was
held by everyone in the community. Burial was in Spring Creek Cemetery,
north-east of La Porte Cit
