Mordecai COOKE Colonel

(1) Mordecai Cooke was a most prominent and influential citizen of the
commonwealth; a distinguished member of the Legislature; Grand Master of the
Masons; he portrait now adorns the walls of the Grand Lodge of Richmond
Virginia.  He was a staunch and liberal supporter of the Episcopal Church.

(1) Giles Buckner Cooke was a distinguished lawyer who represented Norfolk in
the General Assembly.
