Notes


John WYATT

(1) John Wyatt was born in England, he resided prior to the Revolution there
with his Father, who was a sailor, and his sister.  He moved to Botetourt
County Virginia prior to the Revolution, and served with distinction in the
Revolutionary War, entering the Continental Army in 1778.  He served until the
close of the war.  He was present at the seige of Yorktown.  He later emigrated
to Kentucky, and located himself in Mercer County, where he remained until
1794, when he removed to Harrison County, where he resided for thirty-one
years.  He was remembered by his grand children, as an old English gentleman,
with powdered hair, knee britches, silver knee and shoe buckles, and silk
stockings.


Daniel WYATT

(1) Emigrated to Tennessee aboout the year of 1795, served with distinction in
the Revolutionary War, and the War of 1812; he particpated in the Battle of New
Orleans.


Daniel WYATT Judge

(1) Judge Daniel Wyatt served with distinction in the Confederate Army, in
Capt. Wyatt's Company, commanded by Colonel Shaver.  He was Justice of the
Peace of Randolph County, and Probate Judge;

(2) The names of two children of his third wife are not recorded.  We do not
know the sexes, or any other information, other than the fact that he had two
additional children.
