Francis KEY MEADE Lt.

(1) He graduated at West Point in 1898, whereupon he entered the Army, and
served with distinction in the Spanish-American War; he was wounded at the
Battle of Santiago.  On his return to the States, he was ordered to the
Philippines, where he commanded a company until his death in 1900.


Nathaniel BURWELL

(1) Major Nathaniel Burwell served with distinction in the Revolutionary War;
he entered the army as an Ensign in 1775.  He was Captain of Continential
Artillery in 1776.  Major and Aide de Camp to General Howe in 1779, and was
retired in 1783.  He was a member of the Society of the Cincinnati.
