Pocatello, Idaho (mailed from)I received your name and adress from Ferron Hiatt when I was inquiring about obtaining a Hiatt and Hiatt genelogy Book. He said you were putting a second edition out. I have quite a bit of Information on the decendents of Wilford Aldwin Hiatt and some life sketches and pictures if yhou would be interested and if I could obtain a bopy of the book when it is finished. Ririe, Idaho 83443In his early years Mr. Hiatt farmed and did custom threshing. He was a foreman on a cattle ranch in the Rose, Idaho area prior to moving to Pocatello in 1953. He was then employed for the Union Pacific Railroad Company as a
stell-bridge welder for 17 years, retiring in 1970.
He was a member of the Pocatello 11 Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and enjoyed writing poetry, penmanship, gardening, reading and music.
Survivors include five sons: Veraun Hiatt, Sandy Utah; Doran Hiatt, Grantsville, Utah, Lester Hiatt, Pocatello, Idaho; Van Hiatt, Stratton, Pennsylvania; Ted Hepworth, Sacramento, Calif; seven daughters: Mrs. Frank (Dawna V.) Paget, Sandy, Utah; Mrs. Skip (Janet) Tschanz, The Dalles, Oregon; Mrs. Ted (Anita) Corrington, Pocatello, Idaho; Mrs. Murray (Lili) Johnson, McMinnville, Oregon; Mrs. Jim (Terri) Willson, Pocatello, Idaho; Mrs. Carsten (JoElla) Mohr, Bountiful, Utah; Mrs. Ralph (Mary Ann) Wilson; Mrs. William (Lillian) Keaton, Blackfoot, Idaho; fifty-nine grandchildren; fifty-seven great

Funeral services were conducted Thursday, 20 Oct 1988, at 2 P.M. at the Pocatello L.D.S. Stake Center at 655 South Grant Ave. The family met with friends on Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 PM at Manning Funeral Chapel at 510

Adopted into the Hales family very young. Birth name was Atkinson, her fathers name was Edward Atkinson mother was Fanney Glenn. Her maiden name Fanney Glenn was the 4th wife of George Gillet Hales. Family tradition is that Edward Atkinson was a stage coach driver for the King. He went on a run and never heard from again.
