"Sorry did not respond to your entry earlier. Have not been on the internet in
a while. I am kin to Lowry GILLESPIE and Frances PATTERSON GILLESPIE thru their
son James Lowry GILLESPIE. James was married to Elizabeth YARBROUGH in 1828 in
Franklin county, GA. Another person researching the same line as you is Midge
Garza at mgarza@specent.com. You may want to contact her since she has some
interesting leads. We believe that Mathew GILLESPIE married Lucy PICKENS in
1722. He died leaving her with 2 children. Matthew jr who married Mary Ann or
Anna and Margaret. Matthew Jr had a son James GILLESPIE who married Elizabeth
GILLESPIE. Her last name we believe is LOWERY and that they knew each other in
Ireland. They had Lowry GILLESPIE who married Francis Patterson GILLESPIE. Hope
this helps. Have some photos and add'l info ...Posted By: Mark Adkinson
