  Joshua Hiatt was a Miller by trade. He removed to Missouri in 1872 and remained there until his death, which occurred in 1904.  In business affairs he Prospered becoming well-to-do and throughout his entire life he enjoyed the respect and esteem of those with whom he associated, for his life was in harmony with his professions as a member of the Society of Friends.  His political endorsement was given to the Republican party.

Elizabeth BRAMMER

  After the death of Joshua Hiatt, in 1904, his wife Elizabeth relocated to
Joplin, Jasper Co., Mo. to live near her son Ephraim R. Hiatt.  She died on 23 March 1908 in Joplin and is buried next to her son, Ephraim at Fairview Cem. in Joplin.

                 The Joplin Globe - Tues March 24, 1908.
  Elizabeth Hiatt, 71 years old, died at her residence on East Seventh St. at Moonshine Hill, at 5:50 o'clock yesterday morning.  Funeral sercives will be held from the residence to Fairview Cem at 3 o'clock this afternoon.
