Edmond Shepherd Lafayette KIRBY

He served in Capt. Uriah Thomas Brown's Company E, 28th Regt.

Tennessee  Volunteers. He started out in Camp Zollicoffer, in

Livingston, Tn.. He  joined and was enrolled on 11-Aug-1861. The

first Muster roll is dated  October 30, 1861.

Fought in the Civil War, at the Battle of Murfreesboro, Tn. He

died of  wounds while in the Confedrate

Army. He served a total of two years, and is buried at the

Corinth  National Cemetary. He died of wounds received at the

Battle of Shiloh,  6-April-1862.
