Mathew Jordan, the son of Thomas of Chucatuck and dorrity Curkin (Newby) widdo woman both of Nanzemund Co., did propound theire marriage before a meeting of men and women friends in the publick meeting howse at Chucatuck on the 10th of ye sixt month last and coming before the Meeting the second time in ghe general meeting howse thay did publish there marriage againe and were m. this 6th day of ye 7th month 1699.Matthew marreid two widows. There is no record of which of his children were from which wife. I listed as all issue of his second wife except the first one, Josiah.
