Stover Gill drove his team and the teams of Charles and Anna K. Edwards overland from Ohio to Illinois. His "wife and boys" went with the Edwards family by boat down the Ohio River to the Missisippi River and then by raft up to Rip Rap (Mosier Landing), Illinois.
