John was the last person to carry the family name in the county where his ancestors settled in 1727. His will showed that he owned other properties in both Chester Co. and Muskingum Co., OH. Apparently he was unmarried. His deceased sister's children were mentioned in his will, dated 26 Dec. 1853. In 1848 he was in a group which broke away from the East Vincent congregation. Settlement of estate may be found in Misc. Deed Bk. 9, dtd Mar 30, 1855, in Chester Co., PA.
