James, enlisted in the Revolutionary Army. About 1817 James and family moved to Highland County, Ohio, Lees Creek MM. and from there he founded the town of Leesburg, Highland County, Ohio.
In 1940 this James Johnson was registered as the ancestor of L.V. Johnson, for membership in the S.A.R,, Washington D. C.   His National Number is available to all descendants who wish to join the S.A.R. or D.A.R.  (These notes by Dr. Leonard V. Johnson) and W.W.H.
