Eli Pvt. ROBBINS

I had no idea Eli was in the Civil War, grandma Ethel Robbins never said anything about him in the war but that should be a fantastic break for information now.  Just found by accident browsing for fun and ran Eli's name for fun of it.   Larry Anderson, 13 Jun 2013.  LarryAndy@aol.com

David BARBEE Jr.

A record in the LDS library had that he was born in Kentucky.  Could
that have been his father, since he was a Jr. would his father have been David Barbee Sr.?   Born in Ky. or Ohio?  Bible record has him born in Ky.  Submitted by Ethel Mae Robbins, Anderson, Richins and her son Glenn Anderson.

The only Barbee names listed in teh index of census for 1790 of Ky. are William of Fayette, dtd. 11/4/1789, Elias Barbee of Lincoln Co. dtd. 4/15/1790 and William Barbee of Fayette, dtd. 3/19/1790.  The first William spelled Barbe, probably teh same person as the later Barbee.  There are also several Morris families in the same area, unable to determine any relationship at this time. (Jan 1993)  There is some doubt as to his place of birth, as grandma recorded KY but he gave it as Ohio in the Census record.
There is also a Martha Barbee who married another brother of Jarrett Linville, apparently a sister to Phebe.

Something is just wrong, this cannot be the father, even look at the picture, he is definitely not 32 at that time. Either a misprint as to age, more likely has to be a son, Jr.?
