S-History of Daviess Co., MO, page 681. In 1818 he moved to Jackson Co., TN; in 1827 to McLean Co., IL.  Was sickly.  Studied medicine for 18 months, and
 began practicing in 1855 in Coffey Co., KS. Then in 1856 in Daviess Co., MO.   Had a fine farm, one of the best orchards in the county.
