Historical Notes:

(1) Berenger, Vicomte of Gievaudun, Milhaud, Carlat and Rodeve, 1051-1077;
Berenger was present on 29 Feb 1051, when Hugh de Roverge, Comte de Roverge,
and his mother the Contesse Richarde made a gift to Conquer Abbey.  Berenger
also occurs in 1066 and 1067.  He was named in a letter of Pope Gregory VII,
dated 12 April 1080, complaining that he had refused the homage which he owed
to the Abbey of Curillac.
