Notes

Emma Mae KNEPPER

Emma and James had four sons.    When her father died she attended his
funeral, she is mentioned in his obituary as living in Seneca, Kansas.

Jacob SEIBERT

It is of interest to also note that there is an Eliza (Elizabeth?) Seibert who married Robert  Turner, Robert was born Dec. 23, 1808.  His father was John Turner who was born 10 Jul 1764 and died 5 June 1830.  Roberts mother was Sarah Evans who was born 6 Jan 1766 and died June 20, 1852.  They lived near Philadelphia, Pa. until 1798, when the Turner family immigrated to the Mt. Williams section of Frederick Co., Va.  Several of the names of families in the vicinity bear interesting similarities, such as HITE, WOLFORD, LOY, STEWART/STUART, KERN, WOLVERTON, STULL, STUMP, etc.
See Historical Records of Old Frederick Co., Va. published 1991 by Dr. Wilmer Kerns, 4715 No. 38th Place, Arlington, VA  22207.

Jacob J. (Jake) STULL

1910 Census Brown Co., Morrill Kansas 16 April 1910 Very poor copy can not read. page 143A #?39 Jacob Stull head of the house married 32 years. Very faint but can see that the listing does give children and grandchildren living with them.
Jacob came to Kansas in 1881 from Oregon, Ogle, Ill.
Extremly faint but does give Sister Elizabeth Wolfkill living with them.
She is listed as widow, born in Penn, parents born in Penn.
Pine Creek Ogle Co., 1870 Census page 11 #72

From records of Bonnie Everhart, she said that George and William were twins, however, I do not know rather it should be Feb. or Nov. as births, as these records were very faint.
"In August of 1972, I visited Uncle Ora Keever and he told me the following:
Jacob J. Stull (Uncle Jake) brother of Fredrica Stull Knepper lived in Morrill, Kansas.  His wife was Mary Ann Cambell.  Their children were:  George and William;  Harriett and Blanche.  Blanche married a Thompson.  Harriett was the only one of the 4 who had any children.  She was married twice.  ehr son Cecil lived at 408 Tefft St. Topeka, Kansas in 1971 and Aunt Blanche lived with him.  She was 83 years old in 1971.  Hatty's second husband ran the newpaper in Morrill until his death - again NO LAST NAME!

Susan TEETER

Another record submitted has 21 Jan instead of 30 Jan as death date.  No further Documentation at this time.  LA

David Burger TEETER

From "Portrait and Biographical Album" by Chapman Bros, published 1885,
pages 570: "David Teeter grew to man's estate in his native county, and
became master of the trades of a carpenter, a wheelwright and a cabinet
maker, and labored at them for more than forty years.  He was married, in
1836, to Miss Margaret Mack, and in October, 1847, with his wife and
family {including his widowed mother}, removed to Jefferson County, Iowa,
when that county was new and but little broken.  In 1874, he came to
Kansas and made his home on a farm in Wamego Township until his death,
April 9, 1883.  He was quite ripe in years, as his natal day was Feb. 27,
1809.  He was a man of excellent education, and spent some years as a
teacher in both German and English.  He also possessed a large amount of
practical knowledge, and was a useful and honored citizen wherever he
lived.  He had held many local offices in his township, and was an active
member of the German Baptist Church, and a Deacon therein for forty years.
In politics he agreed with the Democratic party. His widow is still
living, and is now nearly seventy-three years of age, Contd in Died
Note>>>>>>>.

Contd from Born Note: "and an active and energetic old lady, with a sound
mind and a strong body.  She also belongs to the German Baptist Church.
CGT/ Gravestone markings for David B Teeter show that he died April 19,
1886 at age 74 years, 1 month and 12 days.  This would put his date of
birth at 25 Feb 1809. I viewed the gravestones of David B Teeter on 16 Nov
1983, took pictures and recorded the inscription. CGT/

I, Larry Anderson, had date of birth as 27 Feb 1808.

Margaret MACK

On 16 Nov 1983 I visited the Polly Creek Cemetery west of Belvue, KS, to
locate the graves of David B Teeter, his wife, Margaret and her mother,
Mary Mock (or Mack).  The inscription on Margaret's stone showed date of
death as 31 October 1901 and age as 84 years, 5 months and 30 days.  This
would put birth date at 1 May 1817. CGT/
