(1) Col. Robert Bolling came to Virginia in 1660.

   The Bollings from Col. Robert Bollings first marriage with Jane Rolfe are commonly referred to as the "Red Bollings". And the Bollings from Col. Robert Bolling's second marriage wth Anne Stith is commonly referred to as the "White Bollings."
