Reverend Nathan Berry, present the Association Circular Letter on "The Nature and Character of Regeneration"; and again in 1827 when they attended the Association at the Oolynoy Bap­tist Church and heard him present the Circular Letter on the subject of "Christian Union." In 1840, Sarah Berry after the death of 1 . • t t h. . f • t p and of her son, Nathan, who had passed away in June, attended the services of the Association at the Big Creek Baptist Church and heard her grandson,

Baptist General Convention of South Carolina was formed. Rev­erend Nathan Berry was a delegate from the Saluda Baptist Association to this initial meeting and to almost every sub­sequent meeting until his death in 1840.

Rev Nathan Berry m. Mary Hiett, b. 28 May 1792, d. 19 Sep 1854.

  Permission was given by Mr. Furman Berry to use extracts from chart compiled by Mr. Milton D. Berry.  Birth dates for all children of this couple were not received, but from the known dates, the problable order is thought to be as follows:

F.P no dates or other information.  She m. 11 May 1848 Brown Co., OH (Bk G-7, pg. 128)  William M. Meffored b. 6 Apr 1826 Russellville, Brown Co., OH.
