Reverend Nathan Berry, present the Association Circular Letter on "The Nature and Character of Regeneration"; and again in 1827 when they attended the Association at the Oolynoy Baptist Church and heard him present the Circular Letter on the subject of "Christian Union." In 1840, Sarah Berry after the death of 1 . • t t h. . f • t p and of her son, Nathan, who had passed away in June, attended the services of the Association at the Big Creek Baptist Church and heard her grandson,Baptist General Convention of South Carolina was formed. Reverend Nathan Berry was a delegate from the Saluda Baptist Association to this initial meeting and to almost every subsequent meeting until his death in 1840.
